This is from a news release in August 2025:

• For the fifth year in a row, Johnson City Schools earned a Level 5 composite score on the Tennessee Value-Added Assessment System (TVAAS), according to data released by the Tennessee Department of Education. Additionally, 10 schools earned Level 5 distinction, doubling the number of schools that received the highest score last year. 
• A Level 5 TVAAS score is “most effective”, according to the Tennessee Department of Education. It means there is “significant evidence that the district’s students made more growth than expected.”
